YOU DO IT FOR ME

Do you really believe that all things are possible with God, no matter how chronic the condition? A very small proportion of humanity believe this. The vast majority doubt. They doubt because they have not tried to prove Him. All things are possible to him who believes in God, but there must be no wavering, no perhapses or maybes. All things are already in creation as Creation. All things are fulfilled in us as us.

You may have a bad habit, like always feeling that you "are not up to it", that you cannot resolve your problems. Well, that is fine. Once you realise that you cannot do it there is great hope, because it opens a door in you that was closed - you can say "In my weakness I am made strong, by God. I know I cannot do it, but God will do it for me."

All you people sitting here this morning are His temples, as I am His temples - spirit, mind, soul and body. We do not have to look outside for our health or happiness, or to find surcease from other problems that seem insurmountable. I repeat: When the little me is weak then I, true Self, am strong. Over the decades I have realised this. With all my faults and failings I have turned to Him with the understanding that it is His will for me to be free from negation, free from the things that bind me. There are no reservations. You can say in absolute Truth "This thing which I desire is God telling me what is already fulfilled in me and through me and as me." As I have often illustrated for you, I have the switch in my hand, and God's law is as impersonal as this light here, His power the electricity. But He is also Love. He says eternally to you "You are My beloved child in whom I am well pleased. Release My presence."

Particularly in my early days in Truth I thought "It is too hard for me always to concentrate on being constructive. There are so many distractions, ifs and buts and what-abouts." Then I learnt simply to let go, to cast my burden upon Him, and made it my habit. Throughout the life of The School of Truth, from its origin, we have faced difficulties concerning supply and were sometimes tempted towards expedient solutions. But to follow these would be to deny the availability of God. For over fifty years I have been proving Him, and not once has He failed me, even at the eleventh hour when all appearances were against a resolution. He is never late. We make Him late by looking elsewhere for answers.

Thirty-odd years ago I was involved with a hospital for the chronically ill. I went there every Thursday to talk to patients, many of them not comprehending what I was saying. The chief doctor and the matron, both fine people, felt my effort was useless but I kept saying "With God even a mustard seed of faith is enough to overcome any condition." Three of these so-called incurables were healed - through the realisation in them and me that they were not the play-things of fate, that God inhabited every cell of their being. Everything is not only possible, but certain, with God.

The coins that came in to The School of Truth when it started did not even pay for our messenger cum tea-maker, but we did not judge according to appearances. We held steadfastly that within us all is Divine supply in unlimited amount, that it is our capacity to receive that brings it into being through us. And God has always been on time. This has applied not only in our material affairs but also in our emotions and bodies. And this power of God is there within you. Call upon It. It will set you free.

He sets you free as you set Him free, release Him into every aspect of your being. Many people believe that only what happens after death is God's preserve, that He is great in heaven to which they may go if they have resolved their "sins". They find it too hard to accept that He is here, now, in every cell of their being, yearning to give them mastery over the condition, or circumstance, or personality. I have constantly affirmed "In Thee O God have I put my hope. I shall never be ashamed or confounded. I cannot do the thing myself. You do it for me." And always I am fulfilled. Nothing is too hard for Him.

Through our conditioning as children we came to believe in separation between ourselves and God, that we dwelt down here in sin while He was up there. It is this feeling of inferiority that keeps the separation. But He is of too pure eyes to behold your sin, your frailties and failures. He sees only Himself. If you look into a mirror and pull a face your reflection pulls a face back at you, if you smile it smiles back at you. If you countenance negation it presents as negation. If you envision good, good fills you.

So rid yourself of your burdens and let your darkness be filled with light. I have no burdens on my shoulders. I am always open to His good, never doubting, never qualifying, and always sharing. My faith might have been the size of a mustard see, but it has proven God's love for me. Ask yourself, can negation ever be greater than God? To say yes means God does not exist for you.

I think of myself long ago, with a deep longing to be secure within myself, a longing to overcome circumstances and conditions. How I strived and struggled, while all that was necessary was to cast my burdens and let them disappear under the ocean of God's power. If you fight a condition it fights back. If you strive too hard you freeze your good. Relax. Let go. "Set Me free" is what God is saying to every one of us. We are the temples of the living God, not worms of the dust created in sin.

Habit is very difficult to change but if you think a thought repeatedly it creates a channel in your mind through which things of its kind can readily flow. So if your thoughts are of poverty, sickness and unhappiness, these will constantly flow through you, even though they are nothingness. You have got to superimpose a new channel, a channel for good, so that God's substance can flow through you.

Your repeated, simple acceptance of God does this. Say "It is too great for me. You take charge." As you do this you are opening yourself to the Creator, Which is the whole of Creation, the Divine intelligence, All-presence, All-power. Your longing joins with His longing. You want it and God wants it. You have switched on a light within yourself. Now you behold Love, and Beauty, and Health, and Joy, and Prosperity. They fill you to overflowing.

I have the right to give you these assurances. I am not a newcomer to Truth. I have been proving God for over fifty years. With God I have overcome my weaknesses and will overcome yet more. What I have done with Him you can do with Him.

"The case that is too hard for you, you shall bring to Me, and I will hear it." I want you to take whatever problem you may have here with you and put it on the table as you go out. Open your hand and let it go, fearlessly. Let go of your faith in negation, in nothingness. You have got to close the channel you have created for delusion within yourself and superimpose the channel for the one real Substance, the one real Power, the one real Presence. What a load off your shoulders once you have done this: "I am free. Thank You God. I am free!" When I give my problems to God it is like darkness into light.

I remember an assistant manager in a firm I worked for over fifty years ago. He was a bully. One day something happened and I was late, and he always stood at the main door waiting for latecomers. So I kept telling myself - I had just started in Truth - "There is nothing to be concerned about. You are working for God. God knows why you are late. Go forward. Do not hurry, because then you show you are afraid. Walk slowly." And when I got to the main door of the building he was not there. God had removed him. This is how God works for you and for me - if you will put your faith in Him, if you will declare fearlessly "God in the midst of me is almighty to see, to think, to feel, to speak, and to act. I have nothing, no thing, no person to fear."

God never deprives us of any good thing because He cannot deprive Himself of Himself. He is Himself in you and as you. I learned, through the grace of God, to say "No" to negation in all its guises. I say with the Master "The prince of this world comes but finds nothing in me."
